Organisation Profile

The Uganda Conservation Foundation (UCF) is a UK-registered charity (Charity No. 1087295) and a registered non-governmental organisation (NGO) in Uganda. UCF was established by a trust deed on 8th May 2001 and later registered as a UK charity on 2nd July 2001. The NGO in Uganda was incorporated in 2003 by Michael Keigwin, later to be awarded MBE.


UCF supports the conservation and sustainable management of Uganda's protected areas, wildlife, and natural ecosystems.


Since its inception, UCF has worked in a Collaborative Management Partnership with the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), providing long-term technical, operational, and financial support focused primarily on Queen Elizabeth, Murchison Falls, and Kidepo Valley National Parks.
